The National Trail Conference/Central Illinois Conference Girls Basketball Shootout Clash took place over the weekend.

Dieterich opened the shootout with a 75-64 victory over Vandalia.

The Movin' Maroons trailed Vandalia 16-14 after the opening quarter and 32-28 at halftime. But Dieterich came back with a 23-9 third quarter run as Kady Tegeler and Cortney Brummer scored six points each while four other players contributed in the run. 

Dieterich continued with a 24-23 final period.

Five players hit double digits for Dieterich. C. Brummer led the way with 16 points while Madelyn Brummer added 13, Katelyn Boerngen 11 and Kady Tegeler and Ruby Westendorf 10 each.

Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg then edged Moweaqua Central A&M, 39-34.

The Hatchets edged out to an 11-10 opening quarter lead and led 24-20 at halftime. WSS then had a 15-14 second half.

Ella Kinkelaar led the way and was the lone Hatchet player in double figures with 20. She connected on six field goals that included two three-pointers and was six of seven at the line. Morgan Mathis was on the verge of double figures with nine.

North Clay (Louisville) fell to Sullivan by a 50-42 count in the third contest.

North Clay held an 11-8 opening quarter lead and led 22-18 at halftime. Kristen Allen scored six in the opening quarter and eight by halftime.

But Sullivan came back with a 15-13 third period to trail just 35-33 going into the final quarter. Then Sullivan had a 17-7 final period for the win.

Cyzewski led North Clay with 13 points while Allen and Miah Ballard tallied 12 each.

Neoga picked up a 67-46 victory over Warrensburg-Latham 

The Indians ripped out to an 18-5 opening quarter lead and led 38-19 at halftime.

Sydney Richards led Neoga with 20 points on 10 field goals. Trista Moore chipped in with 13 on five field goals, two of those three-pointers, and one free throw. Haylee Campbell added 12 points on five field goals and two free throws.

Neoga improved to 17-4 on the season.

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City knocked in 23 of 31 free throws and downed Tuscola, 50-45.

The Bobcats trailed Tuscola 7-5 after the opening quarter and 23-16 at halftime. But CHBC came back with a 34-22 second half run to pull out the victory.

Lani Morrison scored 21 on five field goals, one a three-pointer, and 10 of 11 at the line and Gracie Heckert with 17 on three field goals, one a three-pointer, and 10 of 13 at the line.

Ruby Stuckemeyer pulled down eight rebounds. L. Morrison had three steals and Marissa Summers three assists.

Altamont finished out the event with a 74-61 win over Shelbyville.

The Indians ran out to a 15-9 opening quarter lead and led 33-29 at halftime. Grace Nelson scored seven in the opening period and seven in the second quarter.

She continued her scoring with 12 of the 17 points in the third period and finished with 38 for the contest on 11 field goals, three trifectas and 13 of 15 at the line. Also in double figures was Peyton Osteen with 11.
