The Bulldogs captured a National Trail Conference win Friday by edging Dieterich, 42-40. St. Anthony stepped out to a 16-7 opening quarter lead and led 24-16 at halftime. The Movni' Maroons came back with a 13-6 third period to pull within 30-29 going into the final quarter.
St. Anthony then had a 12-11 final period to pull out the two point victory. Craig Croy hit a basket with 2.2 seconds remaining in the contest to push the Bulldogs ahead. Dieterich had a final inbound play but couldn't connect.
Croy led the way for the Bulldogs with 16 points while Kyle Stewart chipped in with 12.
Dieterich was led by Bryce Budde and Andrew Lidy with 12 points each.
The Bulldogs then turned around and hit the road again Saturday, this time to Charleston.
St. Anthony fell to the Trojans in another close contest, 57-54.
The Bulldogs moved ahead 17-15 in the opening quarter but trailed 31-29 at halftime. Charleston held a three-point lead going into the final period. The Bulldogs could only play to a 14-14 final quarter and couldn't make up those three points.
Croy led the way for St. Anthony with 17 while Griffen Sehy added 11.
In the junior varsity game, St. Anthony was a 63-32 winner. Levitt led the Bulldogs with 14, Ryan Schmidt with 13 and Michael Martelli with 11.
In a freshman/sophomore contest, St. Anthony was a 47-13 winner. The Bulldogs were led by Nick Ruholl with 16.

Altamont's Mason Robinson was awarded the Most Valuable Player of the game against Greenville at the Greenville Shootout.
At Oblong
Altamont captured two victories during weekend competition.
The Indians won a Friday game over Oblong/Palestine/Hutsonville by a 59-21 count.
Altamont ripped out to a 23-6 opening quarter lead and that was the game. Eight players scored in the game led by Noah Klimpel with 13 and Avery Jahraus with 12.
The Indians blasted OPH from three-point range with nine in the contest. Jahraus and Klimpel knocked in three each while Mason Robinson had two and Wyatt Phillips one.
In the junior varsity game, Altamont was a 50-14 winners. Wyatt Phillips led with 14 points while Dillan Elam added 12.
In the Greenville Shootout Saturday, Altamont downed host Greenville by a 64-54 count.
The Indians edged out to a 15-14 opening quarter lead and led 33-26 at halftime. Mason Robinson tallied eight in the second period and had 11 by halftime.
In the third quarter, Greenville came back with a slight 15-14 edge but Altamont finished out with a 17-13 final period.
The Indians were led by Robinson with 17 points on six field goals, one a three-pointer, and four of six at the line. Eric Kollman also hit double digits with 15

Teutopolis split victories in weekend action.
The Wooden Shoes edged Fairfield, 37-36 in a Friday contest. T-town took a 7-2 opening quarter lead and led 13-7 at halftime.
Fairfield came back with a 17-11 third quarter to pull ahead by 10 points but the Shoes went after it in the final period with a 13-2 run led by Brendan Niebrugge with two three-pointers and two free throws, Dylan Pruemer with a three-pointer and Caleb Siemer with two free throws.
Niebrugge led the way with 13 points and Siemer 12.
In Saturday play, Teutopolis competed in the Eureka College Shootout. The Wooden Shoes fell to Peoria, 50-45.
In other games, East Peoria defeated Eureka, 52-47, Metamora won over El Paso-Gridley, 66-48 while Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley defeated Roanoke-Benson, 47-39. Marquette won over Beardstown, 48-33 and Deer Creek-MacKinaw edged Fairbury Prairie Central, 46-45.

Newton improved to 2-0 in the Little Illini Conference by edging Robinson, 62-59 in overtime in Friday action.
The Eagles took an 11-8 opening quarter lead and led 30-19 at halftime. Robinson came back with a 32-21 second half to knot the score at 51-51. Newton then had an 11-8 overtime to pull out the victory.
Evan Schafer scored 17 for the winners while Ben Meinhart added 14 and Parker Wolf 13. Newton improved to 8-2 overall.

At Wayne City
North Clay (Louisville) finished sixth at the Conrad Allen Tournament during the weekend.
In Friday action, Crab Orchard downed North Clay, 75-57 behind a three-point barrage. Crab Orchard had 14 three-pointers in the contest led by Rooker with six and Throgmorten with five.
Crab Orchard led 40-27 at halftime and had a 35-30 second half. North Clay was led by Bryton Griffy with 26 and Alex Boose with 10.
In the fifth-place contest, Edwards County (Albion) defeated North Clay, 53-42.
The Cardinals held a 16-14 opening quarter lead as Brady Ingram scored 10 points in the period on three baskets, two of those three-pointers, and two of two at the line. But Edwards County came back with a 14-4 second quarter and finished out with a 25-23 second half.
North Clay was led by Griffy with 18 points and Brady Ingram with 10.
