Teutopolis 57, Bloomington Central Catholic 51 (this Homecoming game was close and exciting throughout. It was heard on 979XFM and www.979xfm.comTeutopolis led start-to-finish, but never by more than nine points. The Shoes were in front 17-9 after one quarter, 31-26 at halftime, and 43-38 after three quarters. Teutopolis had a huge rebounding edge, 31 to 14. That helped overcome a 29-point performance by the Saints' Cole Certa. Max Niebrugge had a big night for TTown, leading the Shoes with 19 points after having been named Homecoming King. Caleb Siemer scored 15 points and Dylan Pruemer off the bench scored 10. Also for Teutopolis: Kayden Althoff 6, James Niebrugge 4, and Joey Ruholl a big three-pointer. The Shoes improved to 6-1 on the season. Teutopolis won the JV game 63-43). In junior varsity play, Teutopolis 63, Bloomington Central Catholic 43.

 

 

St. Anthony 68, St Elmo/Brownstown 42 (Craig Croy scored 26 points to lead the Bulldogs to a come-from-behind win. SEB led St. Anthony 18-12 after the first quarter, but the Bulldogs outscored the Eagles 22-13 in the second period to lead 34-31 at halftime. It was 46-38 after three quarters before St. Anthony outscored SEB 22-4 in the final quarter. Adam Rudibaugh scored 13 points for the Bulldogs, Kyle Stewart 10 points, Griffin Sehy 6, Eli Levitt 5, Michael Martelli 4, and Collin Westendorf and Will Hoene 2 each. For SEB: Caleb Campbell 10, Gavyn Smith 9, Brady Maxey and Adam Atwood 7 each, Wyatt Stine 6, and Jarrett Pasley 3. St. Anthony won the JV game 37-34)

Altamont was up 14-8 after one quarter, 25-23 at halftime, and 36-33 after three quarters. Noah Klimpel led the Indians with 14 points and Mason Robinson was also in double figures with 10 points. WSS 55, Shelbyville 29 (Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg broke a 12-12 opening quarter tie with a 20-8 second period and went on for the victory. Samuel Vonderheide led the way for the Hatchets with 26 points. WSS improves to 6-2 overall. In the junior varsity contest, Windsor/Stew-Stras defeated Shelbyville, 48-47 in overtime.).

The Eagles then had a 35-27 second half for the win. Ben Meinhart led the way with 22 points while Mason Schafer chipped in with 11. Newton improved to 6-1. North Clay was led by Brody Ingram with 17 and Bryton Griffy with 16. Junior varsity game, Newton 65, North Clay 25.
