South Central Picks Up Boys Basketball Win

FARINA -- South Central High School handed Waltonville a 61-29 boys basketball defeat in Wednesday evening action.

The Cougars ran out to an 18-6 opening quarter lead as Aidan Dodson got on a tear. Dodson connected on five baskets that included two three-pointers and was two of two at the line for 14 points in the quarter.

Keenin Willshire connected on three baskets in the second period for seven points as the Cougars moved ahead 37-14 at halftime.

South Central had a 21-5 third quarter.

Three players hit double digits for the winners. Dodson finished with 18 points on six field goals, two of those from three-point range, and four of four at the line. Willshire added 12 points on five field goals that included two three-pointers. London Hails hit four field goals and was three of five at the line for 11 points.

South Central improved to 2-1 on the season.

The Cougars also claimed the junior varsity contest. South Central is back in action Friday hosting Patoka.
