Sigel St. Michael claimed the championship of the Class 1A Effingham Sacred Heart Girls Seventh-Grade Basketball Regional Wednesday.

 

The Sharpshooters easily handled Oakland Lake Crest, 39-7.

St. Michael advances to its own sectional where it will face Pana Sacred Heart Wednesday, December 1 at 6:30 p.m.

Pana Sacred Heart won the Decatur Lutheran Regional by beating Kincaid South Fork, 25-19.

 

Class 2A Brownstown/St. Elmo Regional

Brownstown/St. Elmo won its own regional championship Wednesday.

The homestanders handed Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg a 43-26 loss.

BSE stepped out to a 12-3 opening quarter lead and led 26-7 at halftime.

D. Haslett led the way for the winners with 21 points while Ramsey added 12.

Windsor/Stew-Stras was led by Mya Friese with 11. The squad ended the season at 14-8.

Brownstown/St. Elmo advances to the Effingham St. Anthony Sectional Wednesday, December 1 and will meet Teutopolis at 6:30 p.m.

T-town claimed its own regional Tuesday by beating Edwards County (Albion), 38-10.
