Effingham St. Anthony picked up two victories in its own boys basketball shootout Saturday.

In the first eighth-grade contest, the Bullpups bounced Greenville, 52-12. St. Amthony held a 37-3 halftime lead.

Two players hit double figures as Aiden Lauritzen had 14 while Coen Pennington scored 12.

In the second game, St. Anthony scored big again with a 52-14 win over Salem.

The Bullpups ran off to a 35-5 opening first half and never looked back.

Lauritzen led the way again, this time with 18 points, while Henry Brent chipped in with 15.

In seventh-grade play, St. Anthony fell twice.

The Bullpups lost to Salem, 41-30. The score was tied at 14-14 at halftime before Salem edged ahead 26-22 in the third period then had a 15-8 final quarter run.

St. Anthony was led by Graiden Wilhour with 13 points and Miles Waldhoff with seven.

In the other contest, Greenville claimed a 51-30 win.

Greenville led 20-19 at halftime then broke loose with a 21-4 third quarter.

St. Anthony was led by Wilhour again with 12 points while Waldhoff chipped in with seven.

Greenville wa sled by L. Sullivan with 37 points.
