Effingham St. Anthony and Pana St. Patrick's split junior high boys basketball victories Saturday.

The Bullpups fell in the seventh-grade contest, 40-18. St. Pat's stepped out to a 22-6 halftime lead and never looked back.

St. Anthony was led by Miles Waldhoff with 12 points.

In the eighth-grade game, the Bullpups put together a 62-20 victory.

St. Anthony had a 25-5 first quarter lead and led 36-13 at halftime.

The Bullpups were led by Henry Brent with 24 and Aiden Lauritzen with 17.

At Mount Zion

Teutopolis picked up two wins over Mount Zion Saturday.

The seventh-grade contest went to the Wooden Shoes, 35-15. T-town held a 23-6 halftime lead.

Jake Kocher led in scoring for the Shoes with nine while Andy Lustig had seven.

In the eighth-grade game, T-town edged the Braves, 41-37. T-town held a 22-20 halftime lead then had a 12-8 third quarter.

Isaac McWhorter led the Shoes with 20 points while Gavin Buening added 12.
