Junior High Girls Basketball -- Nov. 10

Effingham St. Anthony split victories with Olney in junior high girls basketball competition Wednesday.

In the seventh-grade game, the Bullpups were 31-24 winners.

St. Anthony held a 13-8 first half lead. Olney came back within 17-14 going into the final period and St. Anthony outscored Olney 14-10 for the win.

Aubrey Denning tallied 16 for the winners who improved to 9-9.

In eighth-grade play, Olney claimed a 38-16 win. Olney held an 18-10 halftime lead then had a 16-4 third quarter.

Leah Gibson scored 17 for the Bullpups who dropped to 8-10.
