Coach Koester Dedication Ceremony, Meet Shoes Night Friday

The Coach Dennis F. Koester Court dedcation ceremony and Meet The Shoes night will be Friday at Teutopolis High School at 7 p.m.

The night's order of events include:

5:30-7 p.m. -- The baseball team will host a cookout. They will be selling porkburgers, brats and hotdogs in the cafeteria.

The dedication ceremony will begin at 7 p.m. in JH Griffin Gymnasium. Bring a non-perishable item for entry into the gym. The THS Volunteens will collect and deliver the items to Catholic Charities.

7 p.m. -- Welcome

7:02 p.m. -- Court dedication to Coach Dennis Koester's family with a plaque on the northeast side of the court in front of Coach Koester's bench. Any former player of Coach Koester is invited to join the dedication. After the presentation, two members of Coach Koester's family will make a basket at each end of the court.

7:15 p.m. -- Thank you to Sportsbackers, Board of Education, etc., A speaker from each group may be speak.

7:20 p.m. -- Thank Volunteens for collecting canned goods. Announce member names.

7:22 p.m. -- THS band could not perform tonight due to another obligation.

7:23 p.m. -- Announce Cheer and Pom athletes and they will then will perform the school song. Cheer will stay on the floor and perform a cheer followed by a dance from the poms.

7:35 p.m. -- Announce score table workers and thank them.

7:35 p.m. -- Girls basketball will be announced and will scrimmage. JV scrimmage, 10 minute running clock; varsity scrimmage, 10 minute running clock.

7:58 p.m. -- Boys basketball will be announced and will scrimmage. Frosh/Soph scrimmage, 10 minute running clock; junior varsity scrimmage, 10 minute running clock; varsity scrimmage, 10 minute running clock.

8:30 p.m. -- Closing comments
