Effingham St. Anthony tallied a 30-19 victory over Dieterich in eighth-grade girls basketball action Monday.

 

The Bullpups edged out to a 6-5 opening quarter lead and led 16-11 at halftime. St. Anthony then had a 14-8 second half.

Lilly Gannaway and Mary Hoene led the way for St. Anthony with 10 points each.

Dieterich was led by Ad. Miller with 11.

At Sullivan

Teutopolis remained unbeaten in both seventh- and eighth-grade competition with victories over Sullivan Monday.

In the seventh-grade matchup, T-town ran off to a 15-2 opening quarter lead and finished with a 34-7 victory.

Borries tallied six for the winners while Gaddis chipped in with five. T-town is now 8-0.

In eighth-grade play, T-town led 20-2 at halftime and tallied a 45-12 victory.

Ruholl scored 13 while Probst and Helmink added 10 each. T-town is 8-0.

At Sullivan

At Beecher City

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City pummeled Mulberry Grove in seventh-grade competition Monday, 38-9.

The Bobcats stepped out to a 14-0 opening quarter lead and led 28-1 at halftime.

Haley Doty tallied 10 while Brinley Pope added eight. The Bobcats improved to 8-2.

In eighth-grade play, CHBC edged Mulberry Grove, 26-25. CHBC held an 8-4 opening quarter lead but Mulberry Grove tied the score at 10-10 at halftime. CHBC had a 10-7 third quarter to lead 20-17 and Mulberry Grove came back with an 8-6 final quarter run only to fall short.

CHBC was led by Madison Dawson with 18 points. The Bobcats are 6-4.
