Bulls Pull Even, Clippers Hold Court

(Undated) -- The Bulls became the first road team to win a game in the NBA playoffs this season with a 90-82 victory over the Nets in Brooklyn. The win pulled the Bulls even in the best-of-seven series at one game apiece. Out west, Chris Paul's late runner sent the Clippers to a 93-91 win over the Grizzlies. L.A. grabbed a 2-0 series lead.

 

Knicks' Smith Wins NBA Sixth Man Honors

(New York, NY) -- New York Knicks guard J.R. Smith is the NBA's Sixth Man of the Year. He averaged 18.1 points and 5.3 rebounds, coming off the bench in all 80 regular-season games he played this season. Smith received 72 of 121 first-place votes to beat out Los Angeles Clippers guard Jamal Crawford. Golden State Warriors guard Jarrett Jack finished third.

 

Suns Fire GM Blanks

(Phoenix, AZ) -- Lance Blanks is out as general manager of the Phoenix Suns. The Suns have fired Blanks after finishing last in the Western Conference this season with a 25-and-57 record. Blanks had been at the helm for three seasons. He previously worked in the front office for both the Cleveland Cavaliers and San Antonio Spurs.
