Junior High Girls Basketball -- Oct. 9

Effingham St. Anthony finished third in the Stewardson-Strasburg Girls Basketball Tournament Oct. 9.

The Bullpups opened with a 38-9 loss to Sigel St. Michael. The Sharpshooters held a 22-5 halftime lead and never looked back.

St. Michael was led by Ordner with 12.

St. Anthony was led by Aubrey Denning with six.

In the third place contest, St. Anthony edged Cumberland, 31-29.

Cumberland held a 17-11 halftime lead. St. Anthony came back with a 20-12 second half.

Audrey Denning tallied 16 for the Bullpups.

Cumberland was led by Miller with 12.
