Junior High Girls Basketball -- Oct. 6

CHARLESTON -- Effingham St. Anthony claimed two victories in junior high girls basketball play at Charleston Oct. 6.

In the seventh-grade contest, St. Anthony won 28-20. The Bullpups held a 16-11 halftime lead and had an 8-4 final quarter.

Aubrey Denning led the way with 12 points.

In the eighth-grade contest, the Bullpups handily won 49-15.

St. Anthony held a 26-1 halftime lead. Lilly Gannaway and Ohna Wilhour tallied eight points each for the winners.
