Chicago Sky, Las Vegas Aces Win In Opening Games

The Chicago Sky and the Las Vegas Aces won their opening games in the WNBA’s best-of-five semifinals yesterday. The Sky won 101-95 in double-overtime over the Connecticut Sun, with Courtney Vandersloot putting in a stellar performance with the second-ever triple-double in the postseason, getting 12 points, a league playoff-record 18 assists and 10 rebounds.

Sheryl Swoopes had the only other triple-double in WNBA playoff history in 2005. 

The Aces defeated the Phoenix Mercury 96-90, with Riquana Williams scoring 26 points and Kelsey Plum getting 20 of her 25 points in the second half.
