Junior High Girls Basketball -- Sept. 27

Effingham St. Anthony picked up two junior high girls basketball wins over Altamont Monday.

In the seventh-grade contest, the Bullpups won 26-20. St. Anthony held a 14-10 halftime lead and led 17-14 going into the final period. St. Anthony then had a 7-6 edge.

Aubrey Denning tallied nine to lead St. Anthony. Altamont was led by Higgs with eight.

In eighth-grade action, Lilly Cannaway tallied 18 as the Bullpups claimed a 31-17 victory.

St. Anthony led 15-10 at halftime and pushed that to 25-12 going into the final period.

Altamont was led by K. Lurkins with 13.
