Atlanta Hawks center Onyeka Okongwu will be out for about six months after having surgery Wednesday to repair a torn labrum in his shoulder.

The 20-year-old, who was the sixth overall pick in the 2020 draft, is expected to make a full recovery.

Okongwu played 50 regular-season games for the Hawks and averaged just over nine minutes in 18 playoff games.
