Recent EHS graduate Nathan Thompson had a dandy football season earlier this year, leading the Hearts to an Apollo Conference championship in his sole season as the starting quarterback.

There was never any doubt, though, as to what sport Nate would play in college. That was confirmed toward the end of the school year when he signed to play basketball for Illinois College.

Thompson finished as one of the top scorers in EHS basketball history, surpassing the 1,000-point mark during his senior season.

Greg Sapp had the opportunity to talk with Nate about his decision and his college choice...and about the dunk he and Parker Wolfe engineered late in the season...

Nate is the son of Chad and Stephanie Thompson.
