U.S. Men's Basketball Team Without Zach Lavine

The U.S. men’s basketball team headed to Tokyo Monday for the Olympics, but they were without Zach Lavine, who was put into health and safety protocols.

USA Basketball said it was “out of an abundance of caution” that LaVine didn’t travel with the team, and it’s hoped he can rejoin them later this week. He’s the third player to be affected this week by the Covid protocols, with Bradley Beal having to leave the team and Jerami Grant in contact tracing quarantine for four days.
