Suns, Nuggets Advance To Second Round

The Phoenix Suns and Denver Nuggets are advancing to the second round after winning their first-round match-ups Thursday.

The Suns defeated the L.A. Lakers 113-100, led by 47 points from Devin Booker, to oust the reigning NBA champs 4 games to 2.

The Nuggets downed the Portland Trail Blazers 126-115 to beat them 4 games to 2. Nikola Jokic had 36 points for Denver, who will take on Phoenix in Round 2.
