Effingham and Teutopolis split junior high girls basketball victories Friday.

T-town was a winner in the seventh-grade contest to improve to 14-1 on the season.

The Wooden Shoes won 32-21. M. Bloemer led the way with eight points.

Effingham was led by Martin with seven.

In eighth-grade action, the Mustangs claimed the win, 25-23. The two teams were tied at 8-8 at halftime before Effingham moved ahead 16-13 going into the final period. T-town made a run only to fall short.

Donaldson tallied nine and Armstrong eight for the winners.

T-town was led by C. Probst with six. The Shoes fall to 7-7.
