EHS' Wolfe, Thompson Earn All-State Honors

Effingham High School senior, Parker Wolfe, was named to the Class 3A All-State Boys Basketball Second Team.

Wolfe, a 6-foot point guard, earned 49 points to be named to the team along with Julius Rollins (Hillcrest), Troy D'Amico (Niles Notre Dame), Tevin Smith (Danville), KJ Debrick (Springfield Lanphier) and Noah Reynolds (Peoria Notre Dame).

Named to the 3A First Team were Bryce Hopkins (Oak Park Fenwick) Ty Johnson (Chicago DePaul College Prep), JJ Taylor (Chicago Kenwood), Robbie Avila (Oak Forest) and Louis Lesmond (Niles Notre Dame).

Effingham High School's Nathan Thompson, a 6-foot-6 senior forward, was named Honorable Mention.

Named to the Class 4A All-State First Team were Max Christie (Rolling Meadows), AJ Casey (Chicago Whitney Young), Isaiah Barnes (Chicago Simeon), Blake Peters (Evanston) and Kam Craft (Buffalo Grove).

Named to the 4A Second Team were Brandon Hall (Harvey Thornton), Nick Martinelli (Glenbrook South), Conor Enright (Mundelein), Brennan Weller (Edwardsville) and Ben Schwieger (Aurora Waubonsie Valley).
