Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City and Dieterich picked up a victory each in junior high girls basketball competition Tuesday.

CHBC was a 32-22 winner in the seventh-grade game. CHBC held a 16-13 halftime lead then had a 12-2 third period run.

The winners, who improve to 6-5, were led by Helena Burgess and Madison Dawson with eight points each.

Dieterich was led by Addison Miller with seven points.

In the eighth-grade matchup, Dieterich picked up a 37-25 victory. CHBC took an 8-6 opening quarter lead but Dieterich came back with a 14-2 second period run and outdistanced CHBC 15-7 in the third period.

K. Tegeler and E. Meinhart led the winners with 11 points each.

CHBC was led by Ellie Miller with 10. CHBC drops to 6-5.

At Strasburg

Teutopolis downed Stewardson-Strasburg in both games Tuesday.

The Wooden Shoes improved their record to 9-1 in the seventh-grade with a 39-10 win over Stew-Stras.

T-town was led by K. Niemerg with 15 points. Stew-Stras was led by Friese with six.

In the eighth-grade contest, T-town claimed a 22-19 victory in overtime to improve to 4-5.

T-town held a 12-10 first half lead. Stew-Stras came back to pull within one going into the final quarter and tied the score, sending the game into overtime. The Shoes then pulled out the win.

C. Probst tallied eight for the winners. Stew-Stras was led by Wittenberg and S. Hayes with six each.
