Big East To Become America Athletic Conference
The old Big East Conference has reportedly settled on a new name. ESPN.com reports America Athletic Conference is the new name for the former Big East. The new league will have 10 teams starting this year and will grow to 12 by 2015. A new name was needed after the seven Catholic schools kept the Big East name when they announced they were splitting and forming their own league.
