Cowden-Herrick and Dieterich split girls junior high basketball victories Thursday.

CHBC was a winner in the seventh-grade game, 26-9. CHBC held an 8-4 halftime lead then had an 18-5 second half.

Madison Dawson led the winners with 13 points. CHBC improved to 1-1 in the National Trail Conference and 2-2 overall.

Dieterich was led by Lena Goebel with five.

In eighth-grade play, Dieterich claimed the win, 43-11. Dieterich held a 27-3 lead at halftime. Sammi Goebel tallied 13 for the winners while Estella Meinhart added 10.

CHBC was led by Ellie Miller and Macee Rodman with four each.
