Updating the EHS 1,000 Point Club

Effingham High School senior Nate Thompson joined the 1,000-point club Friday night, scoring 36 points as the Hearts won over Mattoon.
That gives Thompson 1,010 career points with one game left in his high school career Saturday against Charleston.
It leaves Thompson two points behind Gale Lister of the Class of 1968 for 13th place on the all-time list.
Meanwhile, Parker Wolfe scored 29 points for the Hearts Friday night. That moves Parker's point total to 1,619, which is four points behind Ryan Grant of the Class of 1991 for fifth place on the all-time list. By the way, Parker is 50 points away from big brother Grant of the Class of 2017, who is fourth on the list. Parker's older brother, Landon, of the Class of 2019 is Effingham's all-time leading boys basketball point leader with 2,126 points.
