The Maroons edged out to a 14-12 opening quarter lead and led 28-25 at halftime. EHS started a slight comeback in the third quarter with a 9-7 score. Dalton Fox scored two baskets P. Wolfe a bucket and Garrett Wolfe a basket and a free throw.
Then P. Wolfe opened the gates in the final period and Nathan Thompson scored a basket to finish with eight points.
The Hearts also claimed a 48-45 junior varsity win. Max Hardiek led EHS with 13 points.
EHS nabbed the freshman/sophomore game, 50-14. EHS was led by three players in double figures. L. Heil tallied 13, G. Brown and J. Westendorf 12 each.

Teutopolis brought home a 69-48 non-conference victory over St. Joseph-Ogden Saturday.
The Wooden Shoes had six players score as they took a 17-10 opening quarter lead and led 34-23 at halftime. In the third quarter, the Shoes' Evan Wermert scored seven of the 13 points and the Shoes led 47-32.
Jordan Hardiek finished with 21 points to lead the Shoes while Wermert tallied 14. Max Niebrugge added nine. T-town knocked in eight three-pointers led by Hardiek, B. Niebrugge and Wermert with two each.

Newton played host to Dieterich and picked up a 54-40 non-conference win Saturday.
Dieterich trailed Newton by just two points after the opening quarter but the Eagles went on a 14-5 second period run to lead 28-17 at halftime. Newton then had a 26-23 second half.
Kyle Schaefer and Justin Zumbahlen scored 13 each for Newton while Aaron Einhorn added 12.
Dieterich was led by Pete Britton with 11 and Derek Kuhl with 10.

St. Elmo/Brownstown put together 70 points in a 70-52 victory over Ramsey Saturday.
The Eagles held a 32-18 halftime lead then had a 38-34 second half by shooting 46 percent from the field and 73 percent at the line with 19 of 26.
Gavyn Smith led the way for the winners with 22 points while Caleb Campbell added 15. Smith led in rebounds with eight, assists with four and steals with two. Brady Maxey had four assists and two steals while Ean Forbus had two steals. Campbell had a blocked shot.
Blain Marx led Ramsey with 28 points, three assists and a steal. Charlie Reiss pulled down 18 rebounds.

The Cougars went on a 47-17 first half run as Keenin Willshire scored 10 in both the first and second quarters for 20 at halftime. He finished with 24 to lead South Central
Also in double figures was A. Dodson with 15 and Collin MIller with 11. The Cougars knocked in eight three-pointers led by Willshire with three and Watwood and A. Dodson with two each.
