North Clay Boys Trounce Oblong, 88-26

OBLONG -- North Clay (Louisville) trounced Oblong, 88-26 in high school boys basketball Thursday evening.

The Cardinals ripped out to a 22-5 opening quarter lead as six players scored in the quarter led by Logan Fleener with six and Bryton Griffy with five.

North Clay the had a 33-12 second period to lead 55-17 at halftime. Dakota Weidner cut loose with nine points while Ethan Bible had two three-pointers and finished with eight in the period.

Five Cardinals finished in double figures. Bible and Fleener led the way with 14 points each while Brady Ingram and Weidner tallied 11 each and Griffy chipped in with 10. North Clay had eight three-pointers led by Dawkins and Bible with two each. 

Max Lewis led Oblong with 12.

In junior varsity action, North Clay picked up a 49-13 win. Levi Smith led the winners with 12 points.
