Bulldogs' Second Half Beats South Central

South Central High School held the early lead with St. Anthony scoring just seven first quarter points, but the Bulldogs exploded for 26 points in the second period to lead 33-15 at halftime and went on for a 44-38 victory.

St. Anthony scored just two points in the third quarter and South Central was able to pull back to within 35-22 after three periods, and the Cougars outpointed the Bulldogs 16-9 in the fourth quarter to close within six at the buzzer.

St. Anthony shot 50% from the field, 17 of 34, including 6 of 17 threes. South Central shot 36%, 13 of 36, including 2 of 8 threes. South Central made 10 of 18 foul shots, while St. Anthony had just six foul shots and made three.

St. Anthony outrebounded South Central 26 to 13, and the Bulldogs won despite committing 24 turnovers to 15 for the Cougars. Logan Antrim, Kennan Walsh and Craig Croy each scored 10 points for the Bulldogs while Seth Hotze scored eight and Ty Wiedman six.

Keenin Willshire paced South Central with 20 points and Collin Miller scored 12 points. Chase Dodson and Aiden Dodson each scored two points, and Sebastian Cowger and Ethan Watwood each scored a point.
