Lake Land College Seventh in NJCAA DII Women's Basketball Poll

Lake Land College is ranked seventh in the NJCAA DII Women's Basketball Poll.

 

Labette Community College is ranked No. 1 with a 9-0 record followed by Kirkwood Community College 7-0, Johnson County Community College 7-0, Kansas City Kansas Community College 7-0, Parkland College 7-0, Illinois Central College 6-0, Lake Land College 6-1, Rochester Community and Technical College 6-0, Arkansas State MidSouth 7-0 and Lincoln Land Community College 6-2 in the top 10.

There are three local players on the Lake Land College team and that includes Abigayle Weis, a sophomore from Effingham, Olivia Niemerg, a freshman from Teutopolis and Joanna Schultz, a sophomore from Altamont.

A member of the Parkland College team is Claire Wilhour, a freshman from St. Elmo.

Following the top 10 were Louisburg College 4-2, Des Moines Area Community College 7-1, North Central Missouri College 6-2, Morton College 6-0 and Catawba Valley Community College 4-1.
