The Wooden Shoes claimed the seventh-grade contest, 46-37. Jason Kreke led the way with 14 points while Landyn Thoele added 10.
Effingham was led by Phillips with 12 and fell to 3-2.
In the eighth-grade game, T-town was a 31-22 winner.
Jacob Bushur led the Shoes with 16 points.
Effingham was led by Flack with eight. The Mustangs dropped to 3-2.

At Mattoon
Effingham St. Anthony was a 38-22 wniner in seventh-grade competition against Mattoon Saturday.
Lauritzen led the way for the Bullpups with 22 points.
In eighth-grade action, St. Anthony claimed a 38-22 victory over Mattoon.
The Bullpups stepped out to a 12-3 opening quarter lead and never looked back.
Link tallied 14 and Frost 13 for the Bullpups who improve to 3-2.

At Louisville
North Clay (Louisville) sent Altamont home with two losses Saturday.
North Clay picked up the seventh-grade game, 32-22. The winners held a 17-7 halftime lead. Altamont came back with a 15-14 second half but couldn't get over the first half deficit.
North Clay was led by Compton with 16 points. Altamont was led by Veteto with 13.
In eighth-grade action, North Clay was a 48-24 winner. Zimdars got North Clay off in the right direction with a 12-point opening quarter as North Clay led 20-5. Zimdars connected on two three-pointers in the second period and went on to score 28 points for North Clay. Zimdars hit six three-pointers.
Altamont was led by Shafer with 12 points.

Stewardson-Strasburg and Shelbyville spilt wins Saturday.
Stew-Stras easily won the seventh-grade contest, 42-15. Stew-Stras ran off to a 15-3 opening quarter and had a 13-4 third period.
Wetherell tallied 16 for the winners who improve to 5-2.
In eighth-grade action, Shelbyville edged Stew-Stras, 27-25. Stew-Stras held a 10-9 halftime lead but Shelbyville came back with a 10-8 third period and had an 8-7 final quarter.
Stew-Stras was led by Morris with 12 and fell to 4-3.
