Heat Extend Winning Streak To 27
(Orlando, FL) -- The Miami Heat's winning streak remains alive. LeBron James just missed a triple-double with 24 points, 11 assists and nine rebounds as the Heat cruised past the Magic 108-94 in Orlando. Miami is now just six wins shy of tying the NBA-record for most consecutive victories. Miami is back in action Wednesday night on the road against the Chicago Bulls.
Gophers Fire Tubby Smith
(Minneapolis, MN) -- Tubby Smith is out as men's basketball coach at the University of Minnesota. The Golden Gophers have fired Smith, deciding to buy out the final four years of his contract. The move comes one day after Minnesota lost to Florida in the Round of 32 in the NCAA Tournament. Smith was 124-81 in six seasons at Minnesota.
