Nuggets Beat Lakers To Cut Lead

The Denver Nuggets downed the L.A. Lakers 114-106 Tuesday night to cut the Lakers' lead in the Western Conference finals to 2 games to 1.

Jamal Murray led the Nuggets with 28 points, while Lebron James led with 30 points for the Lakers and had a triple-double with 11 assists and 10 rebounds. Game 4 is on Thursday.

 

Bulls Hire Billy Donovan As New Head Coach

The Chicago Bulls hired Billy Donovan as their new head coach Tuesday, after he spent the past five seasons with the Oklahoma City Thunder. He replaces Jim Boylen, who was fired after the Bulls finished 22-43 and were one of the eight teams that didn’t qualify for the NBA's restart in Walt Disney World from its coronavirus shutdown. Before Oklahoma City, Donovan coached for 19 seasons at the University of Florida, winning two NCAA titles.

 

Vanessa Bryant Files Lawsuit

Kobe Bryant's widow, Vanessa Bryant, has filed a lawsuit against the L.A. County sheriff, claiming that deputies shared unauthorized photos of the scene of the helicopter crash in which Kobe, their 13-year-old daughter Gianna, and seven others were killed in January.

Reports surfaced in the wake of the crash that graphic photos of Bryant and Gianna were being shared by deputies. The lawsuit is seeking damages for negligence, invasion of privacy and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
