NBA superstar Lebron James and several other top black athletes and entertainers are creating a new organization that will work to urge black Americans to vote and protect their voting rights, James told the ‘New York Times’ Wednesday.

He said of the group, called More Than a Vote, “Yes, we want you to go out and vote, but we’re also going to give you the tutorial. We’re going to give you the background of how to vote and what they’re trying to do, the other side, to stop you from voting.”

Among those involved are the NBA's Trae Young, Draymond Green and Udonis Haslemm, former NBA player Jalen Rose, the WNBA's Skylar Diggins-Smith, the NFL's Alvin Kamara, and comedian and actor Kevin Hart.
