EIU to Blue Out Lantz Tonight

Eastern Illinois will BLUE OUT LANTZ on Saturday night when the Panthers host SIU Edwardsville in two important Ohio Valley Conference games that will help set the field for this year’s OVC Tournament in Nashville.

The men play at 4 p.m. against the Cougars with the winner locking up a spot for the tournament with action starting for the men on Wednesday, March 6 in Nashville.

The women play at 6:30 p.m. against SIUE with a win by EIU securing the out-right OVC regular season title and overall No. 1 seed in the OVC Tournament.  EIU will play on Friday afternoon, March 8 in Nashville.

All fans are encouraged to wear blue as the EIU Student Life office will be supplying several give away items throughout the night with the Blue theme.

The day is also EIU’s celebration of women’s athletics on campus with ten individuals and four teams being honored on the court between the two games.  All former women’s athletes who are back in attendance will then be recognized at halftime of the women’s game.
