Duncan Fills In For Popovoich
Tim Duncan had his first win as acting coach last night as the former star player and current San Antonio Spurs assistant coach filled in for head coach Gregg Popovoich, who missed the game because he was dealing with unspecified “personal business.” The Spurs got the 104-103 win over the Charlotte Hornets. Duncan said afterward, “It’s night and day to be in the big boy chair.”
Lee Throws Allegations at Dolan
Director Spike Lee says he’s being harassed by New York Knicks owner James Dolan. According to ‘Vibe.com,’ it began when Lee, arguably the team’s most famous fan, couldn’t get into a game using the same door he’s used for more than two decades. The Knicks called it a false controversy, and said Lee is welcome to come to games using the VIP or general entrance. But Lee said he won’t be going to anymore games this season.
