Bulldogs Take Successful First Step Down Postseason Trail

The Salukis stayed close with the three ball early in the contest, trailing the Bulldogs 20-16 after one quarter, and 35-25 at halftime, but the Bulldogs stepped on the gas in the second half. outscoring Red Hill 38-17 to post a 31-point win.
St. Anthony shot 53% from the field, 30 of 57, including 5 of 13 threes. Red Hill was held to 36% shooting, 16 of 45, including 7 of 20 threes.
Foul shots weren't part of the equation; St. Anthony made 8 of 13, Red Hill 3 of just 4 attempts.
St. Anthony turned the ball over just eight times to 13 for the Salukis.
The Bulldogs had a huge edge on the boards, 35 to 16.
Jaccob Dust had a big night for St. Anthony, pouring in 27 points while grabbing 17 rebounds. He was 11 of 16 from the field. Aaron Webb and Logan Antrim also had big offensive games, scoring 17 and 15 points, respectively. Webb was 7 of 11 shooting, Antrim 7 of 13. Antrim also had five rebounds and at least four steals. Jack Hoene scored nine points and had probably nine assists, finding Dust time and again. Kaden Fearday hit a three and Eli Moore got a bucket for his two points.
For Red Hill, Drake Allen scored 16 points while Anthony Jerrell added 10 points.
The Salukis finish the season with an 11-20 record.
St. Anthony improves to 27-3 and will play for the regional championship Friday at 7pm. They will take on National Trail Conference foe North Clay. The Cardinals beat Odin in the other contest Wednesday 69-61.
