Today is the public memorial at the Staples Center in L.A. for Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna, nearly a month after they and seven other people were killed in a helicopter crash. The event is sold out, with all proceeds going to the Bryant family’s Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation. The service is set to start at 10 a.m. local time and will air live on NBA TV, with livestreams on Facebook, YouTube and Twitter, among other outlets.

Bucks Clinch Playoff Spot

The Milwaukee Bucks clinched a spot in the playoffs Sunday after just 56 games and one week after the All-Star Break, with Elias Sports Bureau saying that’s the earliest a NBA team has been guaranteed a playoff berth in at least 15 years. The 48-8 Bucks are on pace to win 70 games, something that's only been done by the 2015-16 Golden State Warriors, who had 73 wins, and the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls, who had 72.

Lakers Beat Celtics

Lebron James made the go-ahead shot with 30.4 seconds to play last night as his L.A. Lakers beat the Boston Celtics 114-112 in a season that’s seen a renewal of the teams’ storied rivalry. LeBron’s fadeaway jumper put the Lakers up 111-110, and Anthony Davis made three free throws in the final seconds to seal the win. The victory provided some payback for the Lakers, after they lost to the Celtics by 32 points in January.

Grizzles' Jackson Out Two Weeks

Memphis Grizzlies forward Jaren Jackson Jr., the team's second-leading scorer, will be out for at least two weeks with a sprained left knee after getting hurt in a game against the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday. Jackson was the fourth overall pick in the 2018 NBA draft.
