Altamont, N.C., WSS, S.C. Capture Friday Boys Wins

The Indians ran off to a 15-2 opening quarter lead as Aidan Jahraus tallied nine points to give Altamont the push. Altamont led 31-11 at halftime.
Jahraus finished with 24 points in three quarters for Altamont. He was the lone Indian player in double figures as Kaiden Eirhart scored nine.
SEB was led by Gavyn Smith with 12, eight coming in the final quarter.
Altamont claimed the junior varsity contest, 63-45.

At Strasburg
Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg edged out to a 13-9 opening quarter lead and led 23-17 at halftime. The Hatchets had a 43-36 second half for a 66-53 National Trail Conference victory over Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City Friday evening.
Three players hit double figures for WSS. Jordan Wittenberg tallied 18 while Gavan Wernsing chipped in with 16 and Austin Wittenberg added 12. The Hatchets improve to 3-4 in the conference and 11-16 overall.
CHBC was led by Jadon Robertson with 22, Dakota Gray with 11 and Daniel Lucas with 10. CHBC dropped to 0-7 in the conference, 4-23 overall.

South Central pounded Mulberry Grove to the tune of 75-26 in a non-conference matchup Friday evening.
The Cougars stepped out to a 40-14 halftime lead and that was the game.
Keenin Willshire tallied 22 for the winners while Chase Dodson chipped in with 14. The Cougars improve to 16-10 on the season.
In junior varsity play, South Central won 49-27.

At Cisne
North Clay (Louisville) edged Cisne 48-47 in a non-conference contest Friday evening.
Cisne took a 15-13 opening quarter lead and led 25-22 at halftime. North Clay came back with an 11-6 third period to move ahead 33-31 then Cisne came back with a 16-15 final period but the Cardinals took the one-point victory.
Ian Bailey led North Clay and was the only player for the Cardinals in double figures with 24. He connected on nine field goals that included six three-pointers, three came in the final quarter.
Cisne was led by Conner Brach with 14 and Brendan Potter with 11.
North Clay captured the junior varsity contest, 53-22.
