CHBC's Micah Jones Named All-State

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City's Micah Jones earned Class 1A First Team All-State honors. The 6-foot-1 senior has been one of the guiding forces for the Hornets this season as they head back to the state tournament for the third time in four years.

Jones is averaging 24.2 points a game, 16.4 rebounds and 5.2 assists. The Hornets will take on Mount Pulaski at 2 p.m. Friday at Redbird Arena in Bloomington/Normal. Jones has started for CHBC for four years and has been its leading scorer all four years. The Hornets finished second last year at the state tournament and was fourth in 2010.
