Hearts Fall to Charleston in Girls Basketball

CHARLESTON -- Effnigham High School fell to Charleston in Apollo Conference girls basketball action Monday evening.

The Trojans leaped out to a 25-8 opening quarter lead on the Hearts and never looked back. Charleston connected on 10 three-pointers, five by Maggie Goetten who finished with 17 points. Shae Littleford led the Trojans with 19.

Effingham had one player in double figures. Annie Frost tallied 10.
