Casey-Westfield claimed a freshman/sophomore boys basketball victory over Effingham St. Anthony Monday evening, 68-58.
Casey-Westfield held a 21-16 opening quarter lead and pushed that to 41-27 at halftime behind a barrage of three's. The Warriors hit five three's in the opening quarter and four more in the second period. Casey-Westfield finished with 13 trifectas in the game.
The Bulldogs were led by Craig Croy with 14 points.

At St. Elmo
North Clay (Louisville) claimed the championship of the St. Elmo/Brownstown Freshman/Sophomore Boys Basketball Tournament Monday.
Nroth Clay handed St. Elmo/Brownstown a 53-44 loss.
North Clay took a 17-11 opening quarter lead and led 25-19 at halftime. North Clay then had a 15-9 third period run and held off SEB in the final quarter.
Logan Fleener led the way with 15 points while Collyn Ballard added 11 and Brady Ingram 10.
BSE was led by Maxey with 22.
