Andre Iguodala got a warm welcome from fans and the Golden State Warriors Monday night in his first return to Oakland since being traded to the Memphis Grizzlies last summer. Iguodala, who now plays for the Miami Heat, was given a standing ovation, a video tribute was shown on the scoreboard, and ex-teammate Klay Thompson praised his contributions. Iguodala spent six years with the Warriors, winning three NBA titles and being named the 2015 Finals MVP.
Raptors President Being Sued
Toronto Raptors president Masai Ujiri is being sued for $75,000 by a police officer over an altercation after Game 6 of the 2019 NBA Finals. Alameda County Sheriff's Deputy Alan Strickland claims Ujiri hit him in the face and chest, causing him to fall “backwards several feet,” after the Raptors won the NBA title and Strickland tried to stop him from rushing onto the court at Oracle Arena. Strickland claims Ujiri didn't show the proper credentials, but video of the incident appears to show he did.
