CHBC, South Central Capture Girls Basketball Wins

CHBC was led by Jaelyn Robertson with 25 points. She connected on 10 field goals that included two three-pointers and three of four at the line. Carsen Burks added nine points.

Mackenzie Bunch led in rebounds with six. Lani Morrison led in assists with five.

The Bobcats are now 19-8 on the season

South Central tallied a 47-41 win over Centralia Christ Our Rock Lutheran in non-conference girls action Tuesday evening.

The Cougars stepped out to a 13-10 opening quarter lead but CORL came back to lead 27-22 at halftime. CORL still held a five-point lead going into the final period, 36-31. But South Central rallied with a 16-5 run to pull out the victory.

Halle Smith and Laney Webster provided the one-two scoring punch with 13 points each.

South Central is now 9-16 on the season.

Wayne City stepped out to an 18-5 opening quarter lead and led 33-11 at halftime.

J. Hall tallied 16 for Wayne City while Avery Seidel scored 13.
