Effingham St. Anthony claimed an eighth-grade boys basketball victory over Altamont in action Thursday.
The Bullpups leaped out to a 25-2 opening quarter lead on Altamont and went on for the 36-point winning margin.
St. Anthony was led by B. Adams with 11 and M. Koenig with 10 points. Altamont was led by McCammon with four points.

At Salem
Teutopolis tallied two victories over Salem Franklin Park in action Thursday.
The seventh-graders took a 41-25 victory. T-town broke a 6-6 opening quarter tie with an 11-7 second period and outscored Franklin Park 24-10 in the second half.
Luke Niemerg led the way with 14 points.
In the eighth-grade game, T-town was a 51-43 winner. Both teams tallied 11 points in the opening quarter before the Shoes moved ahead 29-21 at halftime.
Joey Niebrugge scored 13 to lead the Shoes while Eli Hanson, Mitch Koester and Garrett Gaddis had nine points each.

At Windsor
Stewardson-Strasburg split victories with Windsor in junior high basketball action Thursday.
Stew-Stras won the seventh-grade game 41-15. Stew-Stras stepped out to a 17-6 opening quarter and had a 14-2 third period.
Gurgel tallied 12 while Morris added 11 and Hewing 10 for the winners who improved to 17-4 on the season.
Windsor was led by E. Robinson with 13.
In the eighth-grade contest, Windsor was a 24-18 winner. Stew-Stras held a 14-12 halftime lead but Windsor tallied four while holding Stew-Stras scoreless in the third quarter and had an 8-4 final period.
Windsor was led by Bridges with 12 points.
Stew-Stras was led by Manhart and Gurgel with five points each. The squad dropped to 5-13.

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City claimed two victories over Mulberry Grove Thursday.
CHBC pounded the homestanders 50-15 in the seventh-grade contest. CHBC took a 29-9 halftime lead.
Wyatt Rueff led the way with 11 points for CHBC.
In eighth-grade play, CHBC was a 38-26 winner. Mulberry Grove led 16-15 at halftime before CHBC moved ahead in the third period and pulled out the win.
CHBC was led by Gage Lorton with 15.
