Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg edged out to a 6-5 lead on Martinsville and went on for a 44-38 non-conference girls basketball victory Tuesday evening.

 

The score was tied at 16-16 at halftime before the Hatchets broke loose with a 17-7 third quarter run.

Hannah Hayes led the winners with 18 points while Natalie Hayes chipped in with 15. N. Hayes and Mikala Nichols led in rebounds with seven each. Chloe Dasenbrock had five steals. N. Hayes finished with two assists.

At Strasburg

At Palestine

Dieterich had a big scoring third quarter to down Hutsonville/Palestine 63-45 in a non-conference contest Tuesday.

The Movin' Maroons held a 33-26 halftime lead then had a 14-5 third period run.

Brooke Locey tallied 17 points for the winners while Kaitlyn Boerngen chipped in with 13. Locey hit seven field goals that included three trifectas. Boerngen connected on three trifectas and was two of two at the line.

At Cowden

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City totally dominated in a 59-39 win over Ramsey Tuesday evening.

The Bobcats swept out to a 22-5 opening quarter lead and led 39-12 at hafltime.

Jaelyn Robertson scored 24 points on 10 field goals, including a three-pointer and was one of one at the line. Carsen Burks added 13 points on six field goals that included at three-pointer.

Lauren Wojcik led in rebounds with 14 while Sydney Lorton led in steals with five.

CHBC also claimed the junior varsity contest, 53-23. Gracie Heckert led with 20 while Harleigh Bunch added 10.
