Paris ripped out to an 18-5 opening quarter lead and led 39-15 at halftime. Sarah Isaf tallied 22 for the winners while Katelyn Littleton added 11 and Trinity Tingley 10. The Tigers connected on 13 three-pointers. Isaf led the way with four and Littleton added three.
Effingham was led by Hayley Diveley with 11 points and Annie Frost with 10.
"They were 13 of 22 from three point range," said EHS Coach Jeff Schafer. "That pretty much sums it up."
The Hearts drop to 7-11 while Paris improved to 22-0.

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City dispatched North Clay (Louisville) in a National Trail Conference contest Monday, 64-47.
CHBC led 31-23 at halftime then had a 33-24 second half.
Jaelyn Robertson led the winners with 25 points while Lauren Wojcik chipped in with 13. Robertson connected on 22 field goals that included two three-pointers. Wojcik hit four field goals, including a three-pointer, and was four of five at the line. Robertson led in rebounds with 12 while Lani Morrison had five assists.
North Clay was led by Lovett with 28 points.

Altamont ran off to a 27-7 opening quarter lead and pounded Oblong, 63-13 in a non-conference contest Monday.
The Indians were led in scoring by Allyson Hardiek with 18 points while Ellie McManaway and Mary Guse added 15 each. Hardiek knocked in four of four from the free throw line.
The Indians improve to 18-3 on the season.

Dieterich broke an 8-8 opening quarter tie with a 7-1 second period. But Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg came back with a 14-6 third period run to lead 23-21 going into the final quarter. The Movin' Maroons then tied the score sending the game into overtime.
In the OT period, Dieterich had a 9-2 run for a 37-30 National Trail Conference victory.
Kaitlyn Boerngen led the Maroons with 11 points while Brooke Locey added nine.
WSS was led by Mikala Nichols with 19. The Hatchets drop to 0-5 in the conference, 8-9 overall.

Claire Wilhour and Olivia Campbell provided the one-two scoring punch for Brownstow/St. Elmo in a 58-39 non-conference win over Wayne City/Cisne Monday evening.
BSE edged ahead 16-14 in the opening quarter and held a 34-26 halftime lead. The Bombers had a 12-2 third period and put the game away.
Wilhour nailed nine field goals that included a three-pointer and was five of seven at the line for 24 points while Campbell hit six field goals that included a whopping five three-pointers and was three of four at the line for 20.

Newton went overtime before pulling out a 39-37 win over Flora in action Monday evening.
The Wolves took a 13-9 opening quarter lead but Newton came back with a 10-5 second period run to lead 19-18 at halftime. Flora regained control in the third period but the Eagles tied the score in the final quarter, sending the contest into overtime. In the overtime period, Newton had a 5-3 run for the win.
Brooke Jansen led the Eagles with 12 points, had six rebounds and three assists. Claire Carr led in rebounds with seven and steals with three.
Newton improved to 16-5 on the season.
Flora claimed the junior varsity contest 40-36. Blake led Newton with 17 points.
