Effingham St. Anthony fell to Centralia in seventh-grade boys basketball action Wednesday.

Centralia edged out to a 12-9 opening quarter lead but the Bullpups tied the contest at halftime, 18-18. Centralia then had a 15-9 third period to move ahead 33-27. The Bullpups came back again only to fall short, 42-40.

Samuel Link led St. Anthony with 15 points while Ryan Schmidt contributed 12.
