Mahomet claimed a freshman/sophomore girls basketball victory over Effingham.Friday, 37-25.

The Hearts were led by Waymoth with six points.

In Saturday action, Effingham claimed a 35-30 victory over Central A&M.

The two teams were tied at 4-4 in the opening quarter. Effingham then took off to a 15-7 second period.

The Hearts were led by Waymoth, N. Lohman and L. Lohman with six points each.
