Bulldogs Win at Dieterich in NTC Battle

The St. Anthony Bulldogs pushed their season record to 9-0 with a 66-49 win over the Movin Maroons at Dieterich. The National Trail Conference contest was heard on 979XFM and www.979xfm.com.
St. Anthony exploded out of the gate, leading 23-12 after one quarter. Dieterich played St. Anthony almost even over the middle two quarters and trailed 52-40 after three periods.
The Bulldogs got ahead by as much as 18 points and outscored the Maroons 14-9 in the final period to post the 17-point win.
St. Anthony shot 54% from the field, 28 of 52, including 4 of 11 threes. The Bulldogs made six of nine foul shots, grabbed 24 rebounds, and turned the ball over just five times.
Dieterich made 17 of 35 shots, 49%, including five of nine threes. The Maroons made 10 of 13 foul shots, but committed 15 turnovers and grabbed just 14 rebounds.
St. Anthony had four players score in double figures; Logan Antrim with 18 points, Jaccob Dust with 15, Aaron Webb 11 and Jack Hoene 10. Also for St. Anthony: Kaden Fearday 6, Connor Walk 4, and Jack Elder 2.
For Dieterich, Collin Hartke and Derek Kuhl each scored 11 points and Cole Niebrugge and Pete Britton each scored eight points. Also for Dieterich: Cody Gephart 6 and Andrew Lidy 5.
Dieterich is 5-3 on the season.
St. Anthony won the JV game 62-16. Craig Croy scored 26 points to lead the JV Bulldogs.
