Potential NBA Draft Pick Quits College

A potential top pick in the 2020 NBA draft announced Thursday that he’s quitting college. University of Memphis freshman James Wiseman said he’ll sign with an agent and prepare for the draft, according to reports. Wiseman is currently suspended from college play because of a payment his mother received to transfer him to another school when he was in high school, a violation of NCAA rules. Raptors Gasol Expected To Be Out For Weeks
Raptors center Marc Gasol is expected to be out for weeks after suffering a hamstring injury during Toronto’s game against the Detroit Pistons earlier this week. Team management reported Thursday that Pascal Siakam and Norman Powell also are out indefinitely. Siakam suffered a groin injury on Tuesday, while Powell has a bad shoulder.
